 FAQs

  • Each presentation is 45 minutes long unless otherwise agreed upon. For older grade levels (4th & 5th), I am open to extending the presentation to an hour.

  • I have presented to grades pre-k through 5. When presenting to a larger audience, I ask that the audience is grouped by age/grade level (e.g. pre-k-1st, 2nd-3rd, 4th-5th). You can find more specific details about each of my books here.

  • For in-person visits, I am open to any size audience, but the sweet spot (in my experience) is two classes at a time in a cozier meeting space like the media center or a classroom. For virtual visits, my preference is one classroom at a time.

  • There is no obligation to host a book sale in order to schedule a visit with me. However, if this is something you’re interested, I can connect you with local bookstores to process these orders ahead of my visit, or provide a custom book order form and highly discounted rate to send home with students.

  • The school may take photos during the presentation to sharing internally and post to social media. However, the school must obtain my prior written consent before using any photos, recordings, or materials for commercial purposes or media distribution.

Audio or video recording, broadcasting, and streaming of my presentation are not permitted.

Your school is responsible for securing media consent and release forms for any individuals shown in photos.
